This will take some work on your part, but it may be worth it. If the closet has a wall that is non-bearing in it, here is what you could do. Cut out a big rectangle in the drywall or plaster. Plaster will be a lot more work. You can cut out the stud to make a bigger space to. Cutting out one stud will give you a space of 32 inches wide. Just make sure nobody is going to put pressure on the other side of the wall and push through. Now you can get some cedar wood and line this space with it. Put a door on there, sliding or hinged. You now have a mini cedar storage space. Of course, you don’t have to use cedar if you don’t want to. But it does smell good.
